Southern California Gas Company has been delivering natural gas to its customers across the region for more than 140 years. Michael Towne, the Operations Supervisor for 33 years at the company’s Valencia facility, oversaw the use and maintenance of five 5500 horsepower compressor engines that moved 250 million cubic feet of natural gas per day from pipelines to storage fields two miles beneath the earth’s surface.
