There is little doubt in our minds that ultrasonic cleaners are the most effective cleaning tool on the market today. The secret, of course, is in the cleaning method, but it is about much more than that. The combination of the method when paired with the proper temperature, setting, and cleaners have all been covered here before.
Something we have not discussed in detail, however, is using the proper accessories, such as our baskets, to further enhance the cleaning process.
Do I Need a Cleaning Basket for an Ultrasonic Cleaner?
In some cases, the cleaners will already have a basket included, especially for ultrasonic cleaners meant for very small parts. If you look on our website, however, you will notice we have more than dozen additional baskets for sale.
When you talk to one of our experts, you may find that you do not need a basket if you are cleaning a specific item and that is all you plan on cleaning with your tank. If you read our blog regularly, however, you will notice that we often talk about how much more cost-effective it is when you can use your tank for various items.
One of the main reasons you should consider using a basket is because it will prevent these harder items from vibrating on the bottom of the tank. For instance, what if you purchase your tank to clean rubber gaskets. Suddenly, you realize you want to clean some other parts that are made of metal. Well, if that metal is allowed to sit on the bottom of the tank, the nature of the cleaning process makes that metal vibrate, which in turn could cause damage and possible leaking to the bottom of the tank.
If you notice, many of our baskets are compartmentalized based on the type of cleaning that will be done. For instance, we have a dish rack to separate the items that will not only keep the dishes off the bottom of the tank but also keep them separated from each other so they do not crash into each other during the cleaning process and break.
If you were to purchase one of our wide open baskets, such as the Basket 2, then realize you have parts that you need to keep separated, we also have divider inserts that can be used when cleaning more delicate parts to keep them away from each other during the cleaning process. We also have the 1900 BT basket that is specifically made for use with 3D parts to keep them floating around the tank.
One final benefit of using the basket is that they will lift the equipment up to create space underneath the item being cleaned, ensuring every surface of the item gets cleaned because nothing will be in direct contact with the bottom of the tank.
We recommend you contact a member of our team at 888-989-5560 to discuss your cleaning needs. Think of the largest items you would need to clean, then we can work back from there to pick the right tank or possibly design a custom-made tank specifically for your needs. Rather than purchasing multiple tanks, you can use our baskets to, in essence, create a tank within the tank. This will enable you to clean larger items, such as tools, and smaller items, such as screws, cogs, and other parts.
Give us a call today and remember, if we don’t have the tank to suit your business needs, we will build it for you!
