The Story behind our Ultrasonic Cleaner Company
Omegasonics was founded in 1996 on a simple idea – that ultrasonic was the cleaning technology of the future. Though we originally were a small window blind cleaning company, President Frank Pedeflous saw beyond this specialized market. He recognized the potential for growth and innovation in other industries, especially those requiring precision cleaning for high performance. By 1999, our company was in the automotive racing industry then we quickly expanded into motorcycles and power sports. We also worked with disaster restoration companies and developed the first ultrasonic units with controlled time and heat.
Changing times called for sophisticated technology you could actually afford. Over the next few years, some industries faced quickly shifting standards regarding sanitation and chemical use, including ongoing revisions to the Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer.
Omegasonics happily stepped forward to help companies meet these new challenges with units that were affordable, effective, chemical-free and met their precise size and power needs. Our team, now growing to meet sales and production demands, was prepared to go to great lengths to make this happen. We frequently customized and retrofitted existing units that weren’t perfectly suited and often built customized components in-house – a regular occurrence even today.
