Ultrasonic cleaners are quickly becoming the rage to free up time for both homeowners and small business owners. In fact, we have clients that are launching their own businesses using an ultrasonic cleaner. While these were something you would primarily see in businesses, that has changed rather dramatically over the last decade.
What Is an Ultrasonic Cleaner?
If you are unfamiliar with these cleaners, you are in for quite a treat. Hand cleaning and power washing… these are all methods that are archaic compared to an ultrasonic cleaner. Unlike these other methods, our machines use a combination of heat, ultrasonic waves, and a cleaning solution to remove all dirt and debris from the items in the tank.
To break it down simply, ultrasonic waves create cavitation in the tank. Those waves then create microscopic bubbles that travel to the item in the tank, then implode, spreading the cleaning solution over the item and into every crack and crevice. That implosion, while sounding violent, actually gently cleans the item.
The secret to success is using the right elements to ensure proper cleaning. For instance, some of our cleaning solutions work better in high heat or low heat. But the real key to everything is in the proper settings to create the right-sized bubbles. The settings can be adjusted to create larger or smaller bubbles. For instance, if you have a piece with intricate openings, you want the bubbles as small as possible to get into every crack and crevice. This would be far different, say from removing rust from an old hammer, where larger bubbles could be used for the cleaning process.
The beauty of these machines is that they can also be used for a wide variety of cleaning purposes. For instance, you may buy an ultrasonic cleaner to use in your garage, but you may soon find that cleaning your firearms is far easier with the ultrasonic cleaner than cleaning by hand.
We highly recommend that you take the time to speak to one of our team experts to discuss your plans to ensure you get the right machine, settings, and cleaning solution for how you intend to use the cleaning tank.
