Omegasonics, Simi Valley, Calif., a manufacturer of ultrasonic cleaning systems, announced that it is expanding and has opened a manufacturing plant in Ferndale, Wash. The expansion is in response to Omegasonics’ steady business growth across the country and all industry sectors, in addition to its release of several new products. According to President Frank Pedeflous, sales of its ultrasonic cleaning systems grew 20 percent in the past 2 years, prompting the need for additional production staff and capacity. The 4,000-sq.-ft. plant is the firm’s second production facility and will employ five staff members who will fabricate several of Omegasonics’ ultrasonic cleaning machines.

“We chose this particular area because of its impressive talent pool with ultrasonic cleaning expertise. We’re hiring individuals that will be able to hit the ground running and get the plant fully operational in a minimal amount of time,” said Pedeflous. “With a fully functioning second plant, we’ll be better positioned to answer the strong demand we’re experiencing from our industrial clients, especially for disaster restoration services cleaning equipment, where we’re realizing significant growth. More and more companies are recognizing the time and cost benefits of ultrasonic cleaning technology and the rapid return-on-investment it offers. I expect that in 2018 and beyond, Omegasonics will continue to grow in terms of sales, staff and new product development in order to continue to serve the needs of our growing client base.”
