Ultrasonic Cleaner vs Spray Washer… The Decision is Easy

The one cleaning tool that ultrasonic cleaners are regularly compared to are spray washers. Spray washers definitely have their place in the cleaning world, but they are not always the best option. Need to clean off the side of your home or the driveway, the spray washer is the way to go. When you need to clean off grill screens, well, now we can have the discussion about how an ultrasonic cleaner is a far better option.

Nothing Beats Ultrasonic Cavitation

There is one simple answer to why ultrasonic cleaners are the better answer when it is possible to use them… cavitation. This is a game changer in terms of cleaning and it is the reason that ultrasonic cleaners are unmatched in their ability to clean every surface, crack, and crevice of whatever is put into the tank.

What Does Ultrasonic Cavitation Do?

I am going to explain this very simply because it is how it was explained to me when that mushroom cloud went off in my head. We could throw a lot of scientific terms around to confuse you, but there is no need to do that here because unlike some cleaning methods, we actually want you to understand how this works rather than impress you with big words.

Our tanks create cavitation, such as what you would see when a propeller moves through a water. In this case, cavitation is created by ultrasonic waves. Just as the ship’s propeller created bubbles, so do the ultrasonic waves. The bubbles that are created carry the cleaning solution to the item in the tank. When they reach that item, they implode, which then spreads the cleaning solution to the area that collided with the bubble. There are literally millions of these microscopic bubbles that are created, so, based on the settings used, they can travel through even the smallest of openings to get to every crack and crevice.

When our clients purchase a tank, our team works with them to ensure they are using the right heat and wave settings as well as the proper cleaning solution. These three aspects of the process work in conjunction with each other to create the proper-sized bubble that cleans everything from dust debris to heavy motor grease and everything in between.

Guns, gems, auto parts, gears, rusty tools… you name it, if it fits into the tank, we can likely clean it better than you have ever seen it cleaned before.

If you are tired of having to clean different parts by hand, why not give Omegasonics a call today to see if we either have a tank or can build a tank to clean your parts? You have literally nothing to lose. Tell us the job or jobs that you need done, and our team will point you to the right machine (or recommend a custom build), the right cleaning solution(s), and the right settings to ensure the job is done the right way every single time.
